Biographical Information[edit]

1B Rex Peters was drafted in the 24th round of the 1989 amateur draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He played in the Dodgers' chain from 1989 to 1991.

Peters was an assistant coach at Chapman University in 1993, then the head coach from 1994 to 2002, taking the school to three Division III College World Series (1997, 2000, 2001). From 2003 to 2011, Peters was the head coach at University of California, Davis, leading the school to the 2003 Division II College World Series. In 2012 he became an assistant coach at University of California, Los Angeles, staying through 2021.

Peters' twin brother, Reed Peters, also played minor league ball and coached in college. Their father Rex Peters played in the Baltimore Orioles' chain from 1962-1965.
