Biographical Information[edit]

Remi Schaber has been on the USA women's national team.

Schaber was All-District in high school, where she was the only female player. [1] She then signed on with Hood College, one of only 8 women registered to play baseball at the college level in 2023. [2] She was 0 for 4 with two walks and two runs in 2023. She then made the US team for the 2023-2024 Women's Baseball World Cup. In the 2023 portion, she debuted as the cleanup hitter and DH in their opener versus Australia. She grounded out against Gen Beacom but drew a walk from Allison Steane the next time up to force in a run. Her first hit was off South Korea's Sayuri Ono. She also pitched, part of a combined no-hitter versus Hong Kong; relieving Kelsie Whitmore in the 4th with a 24-0 lead, she went 1-2-3 against Yik-Shan Hung, Wing-Ki Mui and Janice Lau before Naomi Ryan closed out the combined effort. For the group phase, she hit .454/.611/.545 with 6 runs and 7 RBI in 5 games for the US, pitching the one inning as well. She tied for 5th in the group in runs, tied for 8th in hits, tied Alexane Fournier for 3rd in RBI (trailing Denise Perez and Alex Hugo) and 5th in OBP. The US moved on to the 2024 portion. [3]
