Biographical Information

Red Lutz was a catcher who caught one game for the Cincinnati Reds and had one at bat and doubled on May 31, 1922. He then resumed his minor league career until 1931, ending his baseball career at age 32. Lutz served in the U.S. Navy during World War II (BN). He was a retired employee of the New York Central Railroad when he died at age 85 in a VA Hospital in Cincinnati, OH on February 22, 1984 and is buried at St. Stephen Cemetery in Fort Thomas, KY.
