Biographical Information[edit]

Randi Casimiro pitched as high as AAA and has been on the Dominican national team.

Casimiro was signed by Philadelphia Phillies scout Koby Pérez in June 2011. [1] He debuted with the DSL Phillies, going 2-2 with a 3.21 ERA and .157 opponent average, with more walks (17) than hits allowed (16) in 28 innings. In '12, he had a 3-2, 3.49 record for the GCL Phillies. He fell to 2-6, 5.21 for the same team in 2013, with a .324 opponent average.

In 2014, he was 5-9 with a 4.92 ERA for the Lakewood BlueClaws. He threw his first shutout. In '15, he improved to 9-5, 3.35 for Lakewood. He tied for 3rd in the South Atlantic League with two complete games and was 9th in ERA (between Zach Quintana and Corey Oswalt). [2] He made his Dominican Winter League debut with the Águilas Cibaeñas, posting a solid 1.96 ERA in five starts and getting no decisions.

The big right-hander posted a 8-9, 5.33 record for the 2016 Clearwater Threshers. He allowed two runs in 1 1/3 innings that winter. He split 2017 between the Threshers (2-2, Sv, 3.16) and the Reading Fightin Phils (1-5, Sv, 3.57) while moving to the bullpen. His control was much better than when he first signed as he walked 22 in 82 1/3 innings. In the winter, he pitched two shutout innings. He allowed two runs (one earned) in 1 2/3 IP in the 2018 Caribbean Series.

He bounced around the Philadelphia farm system in 2018, making appearances for Clearwater (2 R in 4 IP), Reading (5-4, 3.62 in 18 G) and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (4-1, 3.67 in 15 G). He had a 1.86 ERA for the 2018-2019 Águilas, giving up ten hits in 19 1/3 innings and for the Navegantes del Magallanes (2 R, 1 ER in 4 IP). He pitched twice for the Dominicans in the 2019 Pan American Games Qualifier. Against Mexico, he retired one batter, pitching in the 7th between Gabriel Arias and Atahualpa Severino. Versus Brazil, he replaced Porfirio López in the 6th with a 1-0 deficit. He fanned two and allowed one hit in one shutout inning, before Claudio Custodio took over; the Dominicans would rally to win and would get a spot in the 2019 Pan American Games. [3]

Ranfi moved to the Mexican League in 2019, going 1-3 with a 4.50 ERA for the Pericos de Puebla. He split the winter between Magallanes (5 R, 4 ER in 4 1/3 IP) and the Águilas (3 R, 2 ER in 2 IP).
