Team History[edit]

The Pittsburg Diamonds of the 1940s and 1950s were a professional baseball team that played in Pittsburg, CA and were managed by Vince DiMaggio, the eldest of the legendary DiMaggio brothers. They were a minor league baseball affiliate of the New York Giants and played in the Class-D Far West League. DiMaggio led the Diamonds to a league championship in 1949 with an 84-43 record.
