Biographical Information[edit]
Pete Hartmann pitched in the minor leagues and the CPBL.
Hartmann was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 9th round of the 1993 Amateur Draft, and he was 6-7 with a 4.18 ERA for the Erie Sailors in 1993. He went 5-11 with a 4.56 ERA for the Port Charlotte Rangers in 1994, and he was 2-4 with a 7.32 ERA in 1995. Hartmann also pitched for the Stockton Ports in 1995, and his ERA was 4.50 in 12 relief outings. He then went 5-1 with a 2.58 ERA for the Bangor Blue Ox in 1996, but his ERA was 7.82 in 5 games for the Grays Harbor Gulls. Hartmann stayed with the Blue Ox in 1997, and he was 8-6 with a 3.46 ERA in 17 games.
The Brother Elephants of the CPBL signed him, and Hartmann was 1-7 with a 4.28 ERA in 1998. He was released in the middle of the 1998 season, and he had a 1.70 ERA in 7 games with the New Jersey Jackals in that season. He signed with the Baltimore Orioles in 1999, but he had a 8.93 ERA in 34 games with the AAA Rochester Red Wings. He also pitched 11 games with a 1.72 ERA for the Bowie Baysox. Hartmann was 3-5 with a 5.93 ERA for the Tecolotes de los Dos Laredos in 2000, and he also had a 4.03 ERA in 7 games with the Allentown Ambassadors. He pitched 19 games with AA El Paso Diablos in 2001, but his ERA was 7.76.
Hartmann went 3-4 with a 6.37 ERA with the Algodoneros de Union Laguna in 2002, and he recorded a 8.00 ERA in 16 relief outings with the Long Island Ducks. He pitched for the Albuquerque Isotopes in 2004, but he recorded a 6.98 ERA in 33 games. Hartmann was 10-4 with a 2.77 ERA for the Surprise Fightin' Falcons in 2005, and he went 10-6 with a 4.19 ERA for the Ducks. He had a 6.46 ERA in 5 games for the York Revolution in 2007, and he went 2-2 with a 4.80 ERA for the Tucson Toros in 2009.
