Biographical Information[edit]
Pedro Miranda was a shortstop for the Colombian national team during one of its brightest periods. He played for Colombia when they won Silver in the 1938 Bolivarian Games and also was in the 1944 Amateur World Series (his two triples tying Pablo García for the lead). In the 1946 Central American and Caribbean Games, he helped Colombia win Gold, their only baseball Gold in the Central American and Caribbean Games (through 2019). He was on the Colombian squad that won the 1947 Bolivarian Games, their first Bolivarian Games baseball Gold; they would not repeat for 26 years. He was the shortstop for Colombia when they won the 1947 Amateur World Series for their first global title.
He had a brief pro career, turning down offers to play in the US. He hit .238/?/.369 for the 1950-1951 Patriotas de Venezuela.
