Biographical Information[edit]

Mike Iglesias pitched in the minor leagues and the CPBL.

Iglesias was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 6th round of the 1991 Amateur Draft, and he went 1-1 with a 4.70 ERA for the GCL Dodgers in 1991. He was 3-6 with a 6.11 ERA for the Great Falls Dodgers in 1992, and he was 0-3 with a 7.63 ERA for the Yakima Bears in 1993. He also started 6 games for the Bakersfield Dodgers, but his ERA was 5.59. Iglesias had a 3-2 record with a 4.22 ERA for the Vero Beach Dodgers in 1994.

The Californian was 7-10 with a 3.26 ERA for the Bakersfield Blaze in 1995, and he also went 1-2 with a 6.60 ERA for the San Bernardino Spirit. Iglesias returned to Vero Beach in 1996, but he struggled again as he was 5-8 with a 5.11 ERA. He improved to a 3.64 ERA in 40 appearances with the San Antonio Missions in 1997 after the Dodgers turned him into a reliever, and his ERA was 3.67 in 39 games for the AAA Albuquerque Dukes in 1998, going 6-2 with 8 saves.

Iglesias moved to the Atlanta Braves organization in 1999, but he struggled as his ERA was higher than 7 in both AAA and AA. The Braves released in the middle of the season, and the Wei Chuan Dragons of Taiwan signed him. Iglesias was 1-3 with a 3.39 ERA in the 1999 CPBL, and he started in 1999 Taiwan Series Game 1. Iglesias tossed 6 shutout innings to get the win over Kevin Henthorne, and the Dragons beat the Chinatrust Whales to win their third straight title. Iglesias was 0-2 with a 6.75 ERA for the Huntsville Stars in 2000, then he announced his retirement.
