Marion Red Sox

From BR Bullpen

After a fourth place finish in the 1949 season with a 73-64 record, 7 games back and winning the league playoffs, the Marion Red Sox won the Ohio-Indiana League championship in 1950.
The league started out as a five team affair in 1951 but dropped to a four-team league for the second half of the season. Marion lost the first half of the year but wound up winning the league's second half and had the season's best overall season record to be crowned the league's 1951 champion.
