Biographical Information

Marco Dávalos pitched for the Bolivian national team when they won Bronze in the 2009 Bolivarian Games and remained with them for the 2011 South American Championship (when a teammate was Miguel Dávalos, presumably a relative) and 2012 South American Championship. He also appeared in the 2013 Bolivarian Games; he was 0-2 with a 15.75 ERA, allowing 22 hits (.449 average), 9 walks and 27 runs (14 earned) in 8 innings, striking out two. He lost to champion Panama and runner-up Venezuela.

In the 2016 South American Championship, he led all pitchers in the round-robin phase with four games pitched and had no decisions as Bolivia's starters took the loss each time. He also led with 20 runs allowed (more than the entire Brazilian or Colombian staffs) and 18 hits. He led Bolivia with 8 2/3 IP and four strikeouts as well. He walked six. His 14.54 ERA was fourth on the eight-member Bolivian staff.

He pitched a team-high three games for Bolivia in the 2018 South American Championship (one ahead of Luis Rico). He allowed 17 hits, 16 runs (13 earned) and 5 walks in 7 innings while striking out four. He tied Ronald Quiroga for the team lead in Ks and was second to Ronald Quiroga in ERA. He tied Leonardo Oliveira for the most games pitched in the tournament.
