Biographical Information[edit]
Luis De La Rosa of St. Martin pitched in the Division Elite in 2011, going 1-2 with a 12.46 ERA for the Toulouse Tigers; he walked 15 and allowed 17 hits in 13 innings. He also caught and hit .267/.294/.289 at the plate. In the 2012 European Championship, he pitched one game for the French national team, posting a 54.00 ERA; only Quentin Pourcel was worse for France in the 2012 Euros. He relieved Eloi Secleppe with a 11-0 deficit, one on and two outs in the 3rd against the host Dutch national team and retired Kalian Sams. In the 4th, though, he gave up a hit to Quintin de Cuba. He retired Wesley Connor then plunked Danny Rombley. Nick Urbanus and Mike Duursma hit back-to-back run-scoring singles and an error let in another run. Hainley Statia doubled. De La Rosa then was yanked in favor of Alexandre Martin.
