Biographical Information[edit]
Alexandre Martin has pitched for the Cubs Chartres in the French minors. He pitched for the French national team in the 2012 European Championship. In his first game, he wrapped up a 15-0 loss to the Netherlands; it was a five-inning mercy rule game. He replaced Luis De La Rosa with two on and one out. He retired Curt Smith on a run-scoring grounder then fanned Bryan Engelhardt. In his other outing, he relieved Quentin Pourcel with a 4-1 deficit in the 4th against Greece. He served up a run-scoring double to Peter Kritikos but recovered to get Max Warren and Nikko Tountas (the latter on a double play). Jonathan Mottay replaced him in the 5th.
