Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Larry Thomas played in the minor leagues from 1962 to 1964. In his three-year career, he hit .288 with 15 home runs in 201 games. He also pitched in one game, earning the victory. Prior to his professional career, he was an ABCA All-American outfielder in 1962, alongside Archie Moore and Larry Nichols.
He managed the Wellsville Red Sox in 1964 and the Waterloo Hawks in 1965. He later was a Boston Red Sox scout from 1966 into at least the 1990s, signing Todd Benzinger, Tim Naehring, Scott Taylor and Eric Wedge among others.
