Biographical Information[edit]

Tim Naehring spent his entire major and minor league career with the Boston Red Sox. He was signed as an 8th round pick in the 1988 amateur draft by the Red Sox and scout Larry Thomas. He came to the majors in 1990 and played eight seasons in the majors, twice hitting over .300. In 1995, as the regular third baseman for the Red Sox, his .415 on-base percentage was eighth in the American League.

Naehring was at Miami University at the same time as Dave Swartzbaugh.

He was the Farm Director for the Cincinnati Reds starting in 2001. In 2010, he was a professional scout for the New York Yankees.

Naehring's uncle, Mark Naehring, was a minor league infielder 1977-1982.
