Biographical Information[edit]

Kyle Parker pitched in the Seattle Mariners system from 2006 to 2009. He was taken by the club in the 24th round of the 2006 amateur draft and was signed by scout Phil Geisler.

He reached Triple-A his first professional season, if only for a game, allowing no runs in an inning of work for the Tacoma Rainiers. He spent most of the season with the AZL Mariners, going 0-3 with a 3.82 ERA and 9.7 K/9 IP ratio on the year as a whole. In 2007, he went 5-10 with a 3.46 ERA in 22 games (19 starts) for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and in 2008, he went 5-3, 4.27 in 16 starts for the High Desert Mavericks. He was a California League Mid-Season All-Star in 2008. He played for the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx in 2009, going 5-5 with a 3.55 mark in 25 games (19 starts) there. He went 1-2, 6.60 in 4 starts for the Cardenales de Lara of the Venezuelan Winter League in 2009-10 to wrap up his career.

Overall, he went 15-21 with a 3.72 ERA in 80 games (54 starts) while in the Mariners system. In 343 2/3 innings, he allowed 320 hits and 150 walks (1.368 WHIP), while striking out 272 batters.
