Biographical Information[edit]

Kyle Hudson was signed by the Baltimore Orioles and scout Troy Hoerner as a 4th round pick in the 2008 amateur draft. He made it to the majors for 14 games in 2011, all of them as a September call-up, hitting .143 (4 for 28) with no extra-base hits.

Hudson became a coach with the Lynchburg Hillcats in 2017, Lake County Captains in 2018, and Columbus Clippers in 2019. Midway through the 2021 season, he was appointed third base coach of the Cleveland Indians, as a result of manager Terry Francona stepping down due to health issues and causing a domino effect among the coaching staff. He stayed on the coaching staff in 2022 with the title of assistant coach. In 2023, he moved to the Boston Red Sox as first base coach and outfield instructor. In 2024, he moved over to the third base coaching position.
