Biographical Information[edit]
Troy Hoerner was a minor league player and a scout.
Hoerner was taken by the Minnesota Twins in the 45th round of the 1988 amateur draft. He hit .206/.346/.324 for the 1989 GCL Twins, with 22 walks in 36 games and 37 strikeouts in 102 AB. He fielded .919 in the outfield. In 1990, he played for both the GCL Twins (.278/.320/.444 in 40 G, 44 K in 126 AB) and Kenosha Twins (.148/.219/.261, 39 K in 88 AB). As a scout for the Baltimore Orioles, he signed David Haehnel and Kyle Hudson. He signed Mike Foltynewicz and Michael Kvasnicka as a scout for the Houston Astros.
