Kjeld de Lincel is from a family of pitchers. He and his brother Mika de Lincel have pitched in the Hoofdklasse, while his sister Svenja de Lincel has been a pitcher for the Netherlands womens' junior softball team.

Kjeld debuted in the Hoofdklasse on August 5, 2010. Relieving brother Mika for the Konica Minolta Pioniers with a 10-1 deficit in the 5th against the powerful DOOR Neptunus club, he tossed 4 1/3 shutout innings with one hit, two walks and three whiffs. He struck out the most prominent batter he faced, former major leaguer Eugene Kingsale. In his other game that year, he tossed two shutout innings with one walk. He was used 13 times in relief in the 2011 regular season, going 1-0 with a 2.57 ERA. In the 2011 Holland Series, he made one appearance. He entered game 3 with a 4-2 deficit against the Amsterdam Pirates, relieving Jean-Paul Gulinck with two on. Roelie Henrique greeted him with a RBI double. De Lincel was called on to walk Sidney de Jong intentionally, then was replaced by Red Sox farmhand Swen Huijer.
