Kioshi Matujara has been on the Chilean national team.
Debuting in the 2024 South American Championship, he made two appearances. He relieved Javier Araya in the second inning against Brazil with two on, no outs and a 1-0 deficit. He made a run-scoring error on a Daniel Chibana bunt then Gabriel Itikawa doubled for a 4-0 lead. Pedro Okuda doubled, then Victor Mascai singled in another run and he walked Allan Fanhoni to load the bases. Emilio Germann-Cisterna relieved and all three runners would score, giving Matujara 5 R (3 ER) with no one retired. His other game, against champion Argentina, he replaced Yerko Mora with a 10-1 deficit in the 5th, two on and one out. He allowed a Sebastián García single that ended the game due to the mercy rule. He had the event's highest ERA. [1]
