Gabriel Itikawa has been on the Brazilian national team.
In the 2024 South American Championship, he debuted for Brazil, pinch-hitting for fellow Gabriel Gabriel Do Carmo in their opener against Argentina. He struck out facing Miguel García. He started the next game at second base and the last four in left field. His first hit was off Chile's Kioshi Matujara. He had a four-RBI game against Peru. Overall, he hit .214/.235/.357 for the Silver Medalists but with 7 RBI in 6 games, handling 11 chances error-free. He led the event in RBI, two ahead of Allan Fanhoni and Jacinto Cipriota. [1]
