Biographical Information[edit]
Miguel García pitched for three seasons in the minors.
García was on the Argentinian national team that won the Bronze Medal in the 2010 South American Games. He was signed by Baltimore Orioles scouts Amaro Costa and David Stockstill in April 2011. He was 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA in four relief outings for the DSL Orioles that year. With the same team the next year, he had a 4-3, 2.82 record with 54 K in a team-high 73 1/3 IP. He led the staff with a 1.13 WHIP and held lefties to a .213 average. He was 1-1 with a 1.29 ERA in nine games (four starts) for the DSL Orioles 2, posting a .81 WHIP to end his career. As a pro, he had gone 6-5 with a 2.56 ERA in 25 games (16 starts).
He also pitched for Argentina in the 2015 South American Championship. In the 2018 South American Championship, he pitched twice against defending champion Brazil (2 2/3 IP, 5 H, 2 BB, 0 R, 1 K); Argentina won the title to get a spot in the 2019 Pan American Games.
