Biographical Information[edit]

Speedy outfielder Kennard Bibbs played in the minor leagues from 2002 to 2006 and in the independent leagues from 2008 to 2010. He reached as high as Triple-A.

After hitting .375 with 104 stolen bases in 127 games for Oklahoma City University between 2001 and 2002, Bibbs was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 14th round of the 2002 amateur draft, a few picks ahead of pitcher Travis Chick. He began his professional career by stealing 22 bases and walking 44 times to just 31 strikeouts in 64 games for the Ogden Raptors in 2002. He followed that with 55 steals, 87 runs and a .302 batting average for the Beloit Snappers in 2003 and 38 steals and 10 triples for the High Desert Mavericks in 2004. After stealing 23 bases in 2005, Bibbs hit just .228/.318/.283 with 17 stolen bases in 100 games between the Huntsville Stars and Triple-A Nashville Sounds in 2006.

After not playing in 2007, he joined the indy ranks for 2008. He stole 17 bases that year, then followed that with 32 steals, 63 walks and a .323/.423/.392 slash line for the El Paso Diablos in 2009. He stole 12 bases in 2010 to wrap up his career.

Overall, Bibbs hit .280/.361/.346 with 216 stolen bases, 467 runs scored, 343 walks and 342 strikeouts in 746 games over eight seasons. At the independent level, he had 142 walks and only 95 whiffs.
