Biographical Information[edit]

Justin Fürböck has played for the Austrian national team alongside his brother Brian Fürböck. [1]

Playing in the German minors for the Baldham Boars, he led the league in doubles in 2022. [2] In the 2023 U23 European Championship, he fielded .929 at short for Austria and was 2-for-13 with a run and two RBI. [3]

In the 2023 European Championship, he debuted as the replacement for Benni Salzmann at second base late in a loss to Spain. Mostly backing up Mo Hackl at short, he was a defensive sub his first three games. He did not get to bat until the 15th/16th place game against Hungary when he played short instead of Hackl. He struck out against Alexander Ogg his first time up but then singled off László Győri to drive in Tobias Werner and came around to score. He flew out and singled against Martin Morua then was plunked by Bence Takács his last time up, scoring again. He thus finished the event with a .600 OBP, while handling three chances error-free in the field. [4]
