Biographical Information[edit]

Juan Diaz has played for the Great Britain national team. In Britain, he has played for the Southampton Mustangs and London Mets.

He backed up Nateshon Thomas and Callum Murphy for Britain in the 2016 European Championship. In his first game, he pinch-ran for Zack Wiley in the 10th inning and scored the tying run against Sweden but Britain lost in the 11th. He replaced Murphy late in a loss to Russia, handling one assist and striking out his lone at-bat (against Denis Leonov). Finally, he replaced Murphy in a rout of Greece and had one assist while striking out both times up against Andy Orfanakos. [1]

In the 2017 European U-23 Championship, he hit .294/.520/.353 and fielded .958, scoring 7 runs in 6 games to tie for the team lead in runs. He tied for 3rd in the event with 8 walks. [2] During the 2019 European Championship U23, he batted .235/.350/.294 and fielded .833. [3]
