Biographical Information[edit]
Joey Guerrero was on the first Philippines national team in a Baseball World Cup, at the 2001 Baseball World Cup. He pitched one game, starting against the Netherlands and going 6 innings (4 H, 6 BB, 2 HB, 1 K, 5 R, 3 ER) facing a lineup which included former major leaguers Hensley Meulens and Ralph Milliard. He was relieved by Fernando Badrina and took the loss as his mound opponent Erik Remmerswaal turned in eight shutout innings. His 4.50 ERA was the second-best on the team, behind Roy Baclay's 2.70 and well ahead of #3 Orlando Binarao's 9.17. He also was on the Philippines for the 2003 Asian Championship.
