Biographical Information[edit]
Orlando Binarao played, coached and managed for the Philippines national team. His brothers Joel Binarao, Manolito Binarao and Ernesto Binarao were all members of the Philippines national team in 2001 alongside Orlando.
Binarao represented the Philippines in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, going 0-2 with a 9.17 ERA; his ERA was better than the team mark of 9.17 and he led the staff in IP (17 2/3, 7 2/3 ahead of Roy Baclay). He lost to Cuba's Ciro Silvino Licea and Canada's Chris Mears. He coached them in the 2017 Asian Championship and 2022 Asian Games. He also managed his country in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games (winning Gold), 2019 Asian Championship and 2023 Asian Championship.
