Joel Binarao

Joel Binarao was the top hitter for the Philippines in the 2001 Baseball World Cup, batting .318/.318/.364 with one run and one RBI in seven games; he led the team with seven hits and had their lone extra-base hit (a double). He fielded .875 as their main left fielder and had five putouts at 1B. He had three younger brothers on the team: Manolito Binarao, Ernesto Binarao and Orlando Binarao. He was 0 for 11 as the Philippines' cleanup man in the 2002 Asian Games, again splitting time between LF and 1B.
