Joe Cedano De Leon has played in the Bundesliga and for the German national team.
Cedano De Leon had a 1-0, 5.27 record for the 2020 Stuttgart Reds in his Bundesliga-1 debut. [1] He was 1-0 with a save and a 4.66 ERA in '21, fanning 37 in 29 innings. [2] He allowed two runs in two innings over three games in the 2021 U-23 European Championship, beating traditional powerhouse Italy. [3] He made Germany's senior team for the 2021 European Championship, pitching one game. Relieving Yannick Wildenhain with a 14-5 lead in the 7th against Ukraine, he walked Denys Brechko but got Kostiantyn Boiko and Serhii Tykhonets on a fly and a pop-up. Yurii Shvets singled and Illia Velykyi reached on an error by Eric Brenk to load them up but he recovered to fan Vladyslav Kosenko to end the inning. The game ended after the 7th due to the mercy rule. [4]
In the 2021 U23 Baseball World Cup, he had a 1.59 ERA in four outings and saved Samuel Steigert's win over Czechia. He led Germany in games pitched, tied for 5th in the Cup. [5]
