Biographical Information[edit]
Jin-su Kim has pitched in the KBO and for the South Korean national team.
Kim was with South Korea for the 2019 Asian Championship. In his debut, he held the Philippines to one run in four to beat Junmar Diarao; Jae-min Kang took over. His other outing was not as good. Relieving Yee-kyung Choi in a loss to Japan, he gave up 8 hits and 5 runs (all earned) in 3 1/3 IP and was succeeded by Jae-heon Seong. He was 9th in the event in IP (7 1/3, between Atif Ahmad and Shota Abe) and tied Diarao for 6th in hits allowed (10). South Korea failed to claim a medal for the first time in 14 years. [1]
The LG Twins took him in the second round of the 2021 KBO draft. [2] He made three appearances in the 2021 KBO, working 2 1/3 IP and allowing two hits and one run (earned) and fanning two. He has not pitched again in the KBO through 9/19/23.
