Biographical Information[edit]
Yee-kyung Choi has pitched for the South Korean national team.
Choi represented South Korea in the 2019 Asian Championship. He relieved Hyeong-jun So in the 5th inning against China, but he walked 2 with a hit allowed; Dong-hyun Bae took over. He then succeeded So in the 4th inning against Chinese Taipei, but he struggled again as the only two batters he faced (Chen-Yu Yang and Tzu-Wei Lin) both got a hit and Yang drove in a run. He was named the starter against Japan, but he allowed 2 runs in 2 innings and got the loss.[1] The Hanwha Eagles drafted him in the 7th round of the 2020 KBO draft, but he never pitched a game with the big club and he retired in 2022.[2]
