Biographical Information[edit]
Dong-hyun Bae has pitched for the South Korean national team and in the Korea Baseball Organization.
Bae made one appearance for South Korea in the 2019 Asian Championship, against China. He struck out 8 of 18 batters he faced and allowed two hits, a walk and two runs (one earned) but took the upset loss when Enting Cui was even sharper. He still tied Chi-Kam Kenneth Chiu for third in the event in strikeouts and tied Cui for 6th in opponent average (.133). [1] He was a 5th-round pick of the Hanwha Eagles in the 2021 KBO draft. [2] After going 1-3 with a 4.50 ERA in 20 games (four starts) in the 2021 KBO, he spent the next two seasons with the Sangmu team to fulfill his military service. [3]
