Biographical Information[edit]
Jae-heon Seong has pitched for the South Korean national team and in the Korea Baseball Organization.
In the 2019 Asian Championship, he relieved Jun-yong Choi to close out a 12-1 win over Pakistan. He struck out Muhammad Jawad Khan then retired Umair Imdad Bhatti. Alamgir Khan singled then Seong got Muhammad Hussain to end the inning. He faced two batters in the game with Taiwan, striking out one and allowing one hit. In their 11-3 loss to Japan, he had a hard time. Taking over for Jin-su Kim, he gave up 5 hit, a walk and 3 runs (all earned) in 2 3/IP; Dong-hyun Park succeeded him. He had his team's highest ERA of the event and tied for the most games pitched in the tourney. [1]
The LG Twins took him in the 8th round of the 2020 KBO draft. [2] After fulfilling his military service, he debuted for LG in 2023 and had a 4.15 ERA in four outings. He was then released. [3] Signing with the kt Wiz, he had a 7.31 ERA in 30 games in 2024.
