Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Jim Saul played in the minors from 1959 to 1972, mainly as a back-up catcher.
Saul was a Chicago Cubs coach in 1975 and 1976 and a member of the Oakland Athletics coaching staff in 1979, both times working under Jim Marshall. Marshall had managed Saul in both 1970 (San Antonio Missions) and 1972 (Wichita Aeros). Saul coached the Nashville Sounds in 1983-1984 and Albany-Colonie Yankees in 1985. Saul coached for the Bluefield Orioles in 2007-2009.
