Biographical information[edit]

The son of Jesse Orosco, Jesse Orosco, Jr. turned pro in 2008. After two years at Grossmont College, he was picked by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 38th round of the 2008 amateur draft. He debuted with the Missoula Osprey, going 3-0 with a 3.72 ERA in 17 games. He split 2009 between the Yakima Bears of the Diamondbacks organization, the AZL Padres of the San Diego Padres organization and the independent El Paso Diablos, going a combined 0-0 with a 4.05 ERA in 12 relief appearances. In 2010, he went 0-1 with a 13.94 ERA in eight relief appearances with the independent Lake Erie Crushers.
