Biographical Information[edit]
Jeong-woo Yoon has played in the Korea Baseball Organization and for the South Korea national baseball team.
Yoon was selected by the KIA Tigers in the 3rd round of the 2011 KBO draft, and he went 1-for-16 in his first season. The LG Twins then selected him in the second draft, and he was 2-for-21 in 2012. Yoon then missed the next two seasons due to military service, and he represented Korea in the 2013 East Asian Games and won a Silver medal. He missed the 2015 season due to knee injuries, and the Tigers selected him in the second draft. He hit .299/.400/.463 in 46 games in 2016, then the Tigers traded him with Soo-kwang Noh, Hong-ku Lee and Seong-woo Lee to the SK Wyverns for Myung-ki Lee, Jung-min Choi, Gwan-hyun Roh and Min-sik Kim. Yoon was placed in the minors in 2017, then he hit .250/.302/.375 in 22 games in 2018. He missed most of the 2019 season due to knee injuries, then he announced his retirement.
Overall, Yoon hit .229/.304/.347 with 33 hits and 3 homers in 4 seasons in the KBO.
