Biographical Information

Jeandro Tromp has played in the Hoofdklasse.

He was 0 for 2 for HCAW in the 2017 Hoofdklasse. In the 2017 U-18 Baseball World Cup, he was a regular corner outfielder for the Netherlands, hitting .130/.412/.261 with 11 walks and 6 runs in 8 games. He had 11 putouts, an assist and no errors. He had 3 runs and 4 RBI against South Africa. He led the event in walks, one ahead of Denzel Clarke and Hung-Yi Wang. In the 2018 European Junior Championship, the little flyhawk batted .278/.519/.333 with 13 runs in 5 games, drawing 9 walks. He led in runs (two ahead of Tommaso Giarola), tying Giarola for the most walks. In the 2018 Hoofdklasse, he became a regular, batting .288/.361/.322.

Tromp slipped to .230/.340/.242 in 2019, fielding .986. He tied Leandro Anasagasti for 4th with 27 walks. He hit .256/.326/.269 in 2020 and .255/.364/.286 in 2021. He was at .500/.579/.571 with 6 runs and 6 RBI in the 2021 U23 European Championship, tying for 4th in runs, tying for 3rd in hits (7), tying Riccardo Bertossi for 6th in RBI and tying Alex Schmidt for second in average, behind Julian Rip. The Dutch won it all. At the 2021 U23 Baseball World Cup, he was 2 for 12 with 5 walks, 2 runs and 2 RBI.

In his age-21 season, he hit .321/.420/.407 in the 2022 Hoofdklasse. In the 2022 U23 Baseball World Cup, he had 7 RBI in 8 games, hitting .400/.500/.600. He tied Branlyn Jaraba for second in RBI. HCAW swept Neptunus to win the 2022 Holland Series.

At the 2023 European Champions Cup, he batted .118/.375/.118 with six walks and six runs in six games. Only Tommy van de Sanden had more walks and Tromp tied for third in runs. He produced at a .326/.432/.376 clip in the 2023 Hoofdklasse. In the regular season, he tied for 4th in RBI (19) and was 3rd with 23 walks, behind Rayshelon Carolina and Roelie Henrique Jr.. The Netherlands won the 2023 U23 European Championship and he did his share again, hitting .286/.524/.286 with 7 walks and 5 RBI. He tied for 5th in RBI and tied Marnix Ruben for second in walks, one behind Jair van Borkulo.

He joined Jiandido Tromp on the Dutch team for the 2024 Haarlem Baseball Week. He was 1 for 7 with a walk and a RBI. In the 2024 Hoofdklasse regular season, he produced at a .341/.474/.418 clip. He tied van Borkulo for the run lead (25), was 3rd in hits (31, behind Jeldwin Orman and Dwayne Kemp), tied for 3rd in doubles (7), tied Tilsaimy Melfor for 4th in RBI (21) and tied for 3rd in walks (18). HCAW fell to Neptunus in the 2024 Holland Series; he was 2 for 14 with two walks and a run.
