Biographical Information[edit]

1B/OF Jamie Dismuke was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 12th round of the 1989 amateur draft. He played in the Reds (1989-1995, 1997), Toronto Blue Jays (1996), and Detroit Tigers (1996) chains, reaching AAA for all of 1994 (.266/≈.345/.422) and parts of 1996 (13 games) and 1997 (19 games).

Dismuke began his coaching career in 2000. He was the coach of the Chattanooga Lookouts in 2000, Mudville Nine in 2001, Stockton Ports in 2002, Potomac Cannons in 2003 and Chattanooga again from 2004-2008. Dismuke was announced as the manager of the Dayton Dragons in October 2008, but in December he accepted the position of hitting coach for the Gwinnett Braves, a position he also held from 2009 through 2013. Dismuke moved to the Mississippi Braves in 2014. Two weeks into the 2014 season, Dismuke left the Braves. John Moses was moved up from the Lynchburg Hillcats to replace him. Dismuke moved to the Chicago White Sox' organization as a coach for the Birmingham Barons in 2015-2016, Kannapolis Intimidators in 2017-2018, and Winston-Salem Dash in 2019.
