Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Jackson Miller was taken by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2nd round of the 2020 amateur draft and began his professional career in 2021; his signing bonus was $1,290,000. He played 3 games for the ACL Reds that year, collecting 2 hits in 4 at-bats, posting a .500/.714/.500 slash line. He began 2022 on the injured list and spent the whole year there. He also began 2023 on the IL but eventually got into 11 games between the ACL Reds and Daytona Tortugas, hitting .353 and slugging .500 in 34 at-bats. He was once again on the injured list when the 2024 season began. He was activated on April 23rd and assigned to Daytona, but announced his retirement three days later without having appeared in any games.

Miller's brother, Aidan Miller, was drafted in the 1st round of the 2023 Amateur Draft by the Philadelphia Phillies. Their father, Jason Miller played briefly in the minors and owns a performance center in Oldsmar, FL where a number of major league players have trained.
