Biographical Information

Ihsan Ullah played in the 2007 Asian Championship. He got Pakistan's first win ever in baseball at the Asian Games, in the 2010 Asian Games. He relieved Muhammad Usman in the bottom of the 5th against Hong Kong and threw shutout ball from the 6th to the 8th. Pakistan rallied to take the lead in the top of the 9th, then Ullah blanked Hong Kong in the bottom of the 9th to lock up the win.

He did not play in the 2014 Asian Games but was back with Pakistan for the 2015 Asian Championship, in which he was 0-2 with a 8.44 ERA. He lost a start against defending champion Japan (7 H, 4 R in 3 1/3 IP) and allowed three runs on four hits in one inning against 2015 champion South Korea. He then got a start against China in a game to determine who would finish 4th and who 5th. He turned in an okay outing (9 H, 4 R, 1 BB, 2 K in 6 1/3 IP) but Pakistan failed to score off Xin Li and Lei Yu. Ullah's six whiffs were second on Pakistan in the event, two behind Inayat Khan.

In the 2017 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers, he relieved Khan in the 5th with a 4-0 deficit against Brazil, one on and one out. He went two innings, giving up 3 hits, 3 walks and 5 runs (two on a homer by Juan Carlos Muniz) though he did fan three (Bo Bichette, Reinaldo Sato and Irait Chirino). He was relieved by Asrar Ahmad. His 22.50 ERA wound up second-highest on Pakistan; Ahmad was higher. He got the call in the 2017 Asian Championship against Hong Kong with a spot in the semifinals qualifier on the line and fared well (7 IP, 8 H, 3 BB, 3 R, 2 ER, 9 K) before turning it over to Khan but took the loss as Pakistan couldn't muster enough offense off Wing-Tung Mok and Chi-Kam Kenneth Chiu. He had half of Pakistan's staff's strikeouts in the three-game event.
