Biographical Information

Lei Yu has been a pitcher for the Beijing Tigers of the China Baseball League. He appeared in the 2007 Asia Series for the China Stars. Yu pitched for the Chinese national team in the 2015 Asian Championship, he tied Chaoqun Zheng for the team lead with three games pitched. He allowed one run in two innings (1 H, 1 BB, 2 K) against Silver Medal-winning Taiwan, one run in one inning (3 H, 2 K) against Bronze-winning Japan and got the win over Pakistan with two shutout innings (1 H, 1 BB, 2 K). He tied Haifan Yang for third on China in whiffs in the tourney, behind Xin Li and Yu Liu.
