Hsien-Chih Chang pitched for the Taiwanese national team and in the CPBL.

Chang was drafted by the Macoto Cobras in the second round of the 2004 CPBL draft. He spent his rookie year in the minors, leading the minor league in innings and shutouts. He joined the rotation in 2006, with a record of 12-10 with a elite 3.26 ERA, and participated in the All-Star Game. The Guangfu native extended his stable pitching, as he got 12 wins with a 4.83 ERA, and was selected into the All-Star Game again in 2007 season. He was third in wins (2 behind Wei-Lun Pan) and 14th in ERA. He was 5-7 and got a 4.22 ERA in 2008. However, when the DMedia T-Rex was expelled from the league after 2008 season, no team was interested in Chang, and his professional career ended. Chang then turned to amateur baseball.
