Biographical Information[edit]
Howard Hobson coached baseball at State University of New York at Cortland in 1930 and then for the University of Oregon from 1936-1947 (the program missing 1944-1945 due to World War II). His products included Howie Fox, Dick Whitman, Moon Mullen, Bill Sayles, Barney Koch and Wimpy Quinn. He had been a basketball star in college at Oregon and would coach both basketball (his primary sport) and football at the college level.
