Biographical Information[edit]

All three of Wimpy Quinn's major league appearances came on the mound. However, he was a first baseman in the minors from 1939-1951, hitting .300 six times, three times topping 20 homers and driving in 100 or more runs 4 times, including two seasons of 150+. He only pitched from 1940-1942 and was never exclusively a pitcher in the minors.

He did hit .500 in the majors (1-for-2).

Quinn managed at Bakersfield in 1951.

He died of cancer at age 36.
