Biographical Information[edit]
Hershelon Juliana has pitched in the minors and for the Curaçao national team.
Juliana was 0-1 with two saves and a 3.07 ERA in 16 games for the 2012 DSL Yankees 2. Switching to the DSL Yankees 1 in '13, he had a 4-2, 4.34 record. He was 1-0 with a 2.70 ERA for the same team in 2014 to finish his minor league career 5-3 with two saves and a 3.31 ERA in 42 games.
He was with Curaçao for the 2016 Haarlem Baseball Week. [1] He allowed one run in 5 2/3 IP in the 2017 World Port Tournament [2] but allowed five runs in 2 1/3 IP in the 2019 World Port Tournament. [3] In the 2021 Caribbean Baseball Cup, he helped Curaçao win their first Caribbean Baseball Cup title. [4]
The right-hander allowed two runs (one earned) in two innings in the 2022 Caribbean Baseball Cup as his team won a spot in the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games, their first Central American and Caribbean Games as an independent entry (they had previously contributed to the Netherlands Antilles national team). [5] In the Central American and Caribbean Games, he was 0-1 with 5 runs in 3 innings but only one was earned. He took the loss against Nicaragua and Bryan Torres. His three appearances tied Chris Koeiman for the team lead. [6]
