The DSL Yankees 1, along with the DSL Yankees 2, were one of the two Dominican Summer League affiliates of the New York Yankees from 2002 to 2016, replacing the DSL Yankees. Yankees 1 seems to be the favored team, as the club made the playoffs every year from 2002 to 2007, while the Yankees 2 posted only one winning record over that span. Yankees 2 did however post winning seasons in 2008-2009, while Yankees 1 was below .500.
