Biographical Information[edit]

Guillermo Pineda debuted for the Honduran national team in the 2023 Pan American Games Qualifying Tournament. He got the tough start against Team Canada, which had won two of the last three Pan American Games. He had a scoreless first - David Glaude grounded out, Jake Sanford reached on an error, Matt Lloyd flew out and Connor Panas did the same. He struck out Tristan Pompey and got Jordan Procyshen on a grounder. Michael Crouse homered and Wes Darvill singled but he recovered to get Elijha Hammill swinging. After a leadoff walk to Glaude in the third, he went 1-2-3. Things unraveled in the 4th as he walked Pompey, then Procyshen singled. A throwing error by the catcher made it 2-0 then he walked Lloyd. Darlyn Rodriguez relieved and let both inherited runners score; Pineda took the loss to Travis Seabrooke. [1]
