Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Greg Jemison played minor league ball from 1976 to 1980, about 2/5 in AA, although he never reached AAA.
After hitting .263/~.379/.372 for the Tulsa Drillers in 1978 with a Texas League leading 65 stolen bases, Jemison was included in a ten player deal to the New York Yankees. The Yankees received Jemison, Dave Righetti, Juan Beniquez, Mike Griffin, and Paul Mirabella and the Texas Rangers got Sparky Lyle, Larry McCall, Dave Rajsich, Domingo Ramos, Mike Heath and cash in return. Jemison only played 65 more professional games.
Jemison was a coach for the GCL Rangers in 1981-1982, Burlington (IA) Rangers in 1983, and Tulsa Drillers in 1984.
