Biographical Information

Gertrudis Tello Jr. has played for the Panamanian national team.

In the 2023 Pan American Games Qualifier, he debuted against Canada. Batting for Erasmo Caballero with a 6-4 deficit in the bottom of the 8th, two on and none out, he faced R.J. Freure. He hit into a Freure error that loaded the bases. Replacing Jason Patterson at second versus Peru, he drew a walk from Carlos Ludeña and came around to score. His other game, he replaced Patterson at 2B against Argentina. He doubled off Federico Robles to plate Eduardo Thomas Jr. then scored on a double by Edgar Muñoz. He had thus reached in all three plate appearances; Panama won to advance to the 2023 Pan American Games.

Tello was 0 for 2 with a walk and two runs in the '23 Pan American Games themselves, handling one putout at 3B, where Enoc Watts was the starter.
