Biographical Information

Erasmo Caballero has played for the Panamanian national team.

Caballero was Panama's main DH in the 2021 U-23 Baseball World Cup, hitting .292/.370/.375 with five RBI in eight games. He also had five putouts at first base. He made it to Panama's senior team for the 2022 World Baseball Classic Qualifiers. He got into one game, replacing Carlos Sánchez at catcher late in their rout of Argentina and did not bat. Panama cruised to a spot in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, their first World Baseball Classic in 14 years.
