Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Fidel Pena was signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks at the age of 17 on February 12, 2009.

He spent 2009 with the DSL Diamondbacks before moving stateside for 2010 and playing for the Missoula Osprey that year. With the Osprey again in 2011, he hit .308/359/.463 with 12 stolen bases in 61 games. He spent 2012 and 2013 with the South Bend Silver Hawks, hitting 10 home runs and 33 doubles while stealing 18 bases in 129 games during the latter campaign. He was with South Bend and the Visalia Rawhide in 2014.

Pena started his coaching career with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in 2017-2018 before moving to the Carolina Mudcats in 2019. He was scheduled to manage a joint DSL Brewers/Blue Jays squad in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to COVID-19. He then managed the DSL Brewers 2 in 2021 and DSL Brewers 1 in 2022-2023. Pena was bench coach of the Biloxi Shuckers in 2024.
